St. Lucia JazzCastries, Tuesday, January 15, 2002 -- The St. Lucia Tourist Board will launch the 2002 St. Lucia Jazz Festival next week. The official press launch will feature a number of presentations including the announcement of this year’s line-up for the festival.

According to Marketing Manager Tracey Warner-Arnold, patrons of this year’s St. Lucia Jazz Festival can expect a stellar line-up this year.

Jazz on Stage"The St. Lucia Tourist Board has worked very hard this year to capture the perfect mix of music that the St. Lucia Jazz Festival is known for," says Warner. "This year’s line-up will reflect a strong jazz line-up as well as some of the alternative acts that have become so popular with our regular patrons."

Scheduled to appear at next week’s press launch is representative from Gold and Co-Presenting Sponsor BET Jazz, Mr. Paxton Baker, BET Productions Vice President. The St. Lucia Jazz Festival will also receive much publicity in the US all next week, through a week long programme of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival on BET Jazz dubbed "St. Lucia Week."

The dates for this year’s St. Lucia Jazz Festival are May 3 - 12.
