August 14, 1997 - Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Kenny Anthony, wishes to advise that Police Commissioner Mr. Vernon Augustin, has proceeded on pre-retirement leave, which was effective Monday, 11th August, 1997.

Accordingly, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Francis Nelson will act as Commissioner of Police. His appointment took effect from Monday 11th August, 1997.
