August 14, 1997 - Earlier this week, the Cabinet of Ministers, finalised the appointment of the Commission of Inquiry to investigate alleged cases of corruption levelled at the last administration over the past few years.

This is in fulfillment of the Government's pledge to be accountable to the people of St. Lucia. A retired judge has been identified to chair the Commission and his identity, along with the Commission's Terms of Reference, are to be released next week.
