20th Saint Lucia Jazz ends on high note |

Tuesday 10 May 2011 – The twentieth anniversary of Saint Lucia Jazz ended on a high note on Sunday, May 8, at the legendary Pigeon Island National Landmark, to the sounds of Grammy award superstar John Legend.
The Saint Lucia Tourist Board says despite of challenges posed by days of inclement weather the festival was highly successful.
The SLTB`s Director of Special Events Lavaughn Francis says the organisers are very satisfied that they delivered a top quality festival.
“There was a lot of hard work that was put into the festival this year and there were several extra visitor experiences that we also implemented and we are really excited that everything was executed smoothly; we have had no real hick-ups.”
The official review for Saint Lucia Jazz 20 and preparations for the hosting of the festivals twenty first anniversary begin immediately.
The SLTB`s director of special events, Lavaughn Francis, says next year, organisers are hoping to improve the festival.
“One of the definite things we want to tighten next year is the line-up. We want to ensure that the line- up is in keeping with the message that we want to portray and it's in keeping with our target market in he Caribbean, US and Europe. We also want to ensure that the experience of our patrons are a lot smoother and there are no major concerns as individuals come to the various events.”
