Friday 11 March 2011The ICT4D programme of the CARICOM Secretariat with input from several regional ICT stakeholders, government, private sector, academia and civil society has developed a Regional Digital Development Strategy or RDDS.  The team charged with this responsibility has been holding consultations in all member states.

The consultation is aimed at making CARICOM Citizens aware of the Draft Strategy and its relevance to advancing the CSME and other regional imperatives as well as receiving feedback which will inform the Implementation Plan to be presented to the Heads of Government.

On Wednesday, March 16, and Thursday March 17, 2011, the RDDS will be introduced to Saint Lucian stakeholders at a consultation to be held at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort from 9:00a.m.

Members of the media are invited to the opening session of the consultation.
