“A Celebration of Personalities and Progress” is the theme guiding activities marking the 30th anniversary of the National Commission of UNESCO.    The activities are aimed at recognizing the efforts of the many contributors who have provided invaluable assistance to the Commission in the successful implementation of the Commission’s several programmes and projects.

According to the Secretary General of The National Commission for UNESCO, Marcia Symphorien, the 30th year journey will be observed with a month long programmes of activities aimed at reaching out to the Saint Lucian population, by sharing with them the many success stories of the National Commission.

“The theme, the Celebration of Personalities and Progress was selected to highlight the accomplishments of the National Commission and the progress that has been made in terms of our mandate.   We really want to have to highlight Lucia’s profile we also want to highlight and I think more importantly so  the many persons who have over the past 30 years to fulfilling the mandate of the National Commission and also in the Radio Saint Profile at the international level.   One of the fringe activities will be the official handing over ceremony of a donation received from UNESO in behalf of the students of Saint Lucia who were impacted by the Hurricane. “.

Wednesday’s Official Launching of the Programme of Activities will be hosted at the Office of the National Commission, 2nd Floor, Francis Compton Building.
