Tuesday April 19, 2011 –  To further enhance the country's accessibility and to compliment the Saint Lucia Tourist Board's recently established 1-800 toll free call centre the SLTB has developed and launched a new website.   Minister for Tourism Senator the Honourable Allan Chasnet in commending the Board for this latest initiative, described the site as informative and user friendly.

“The Tourist Board has spent enormous man hours in developing the website called Stlucianow.com. When you visit the site, there are approximately 62 restaurants; 21 of those restaurants are linked  to their own web-pages. What is even more exciting is the psychology that has gone into the design  of the website.  A person who goes on to the website and is planning his/her  trip  to Saint Lucia can actually put into a cart all the information they want; the attraction they are interested in, the restaurants they're interested in and at the end of the exercise, they can print it out.”

The design, Chastanet explained, is a deliberate attempt to offer the user a familiar experience and interface; as the site's layout is similar to that of popular online shopping  sites.

The site comprises a live chat section where agents and clients can speak to Information and Customer Service Representatives manning the call centre.

The site is being viewed as more than an additional information dissemination point, but is able to facilitate the sale of  tours to the island.

To access the site simply type  stlucianow.com in any web browser.
