Thursday 14 April 2011  In preparation for the second cycle of training under the OECS Skills for Inclusive Growth Project, The National Skills Development Centre invites the potential trainees to TWO DAYS of sensitization and registration activities.

 

All persons meeting the requirements and are interested in undergoing FREE SKILLS

TRAINING in any of the areas listed below are invited to visit any of the following training centres closest to your location on Tuesday 19th of April, and Wednesday 20th April, 2011 between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.

 

National Skills Development Centre (NSDC) in Bisee, Patience Training Centre in Mon Repos and Choiseul Arts & Craft Centre (La Fargue).

 

Skill Areas

Cookery, Data Operations, Housekeeping, Electrical Installation, Restaurant Server, General, Construction, Community, Tourism, Masonry, Property Maintenance, Carpentry, Crop Production and  Furniture Making

 

Helpful Documents to Have:

Ø       National ID Card OR National Insurance Corporation (NIC) card

Ø       Certified copies of certificates (if any).

 

Benefits to participants:

Ø      FREE training in Technical Vocational Skill against approved regional standardsFREE Career Counseling

Ø      FREE Life skills training

Ø      Certification valid across OECS – CSME Compliant

Ø      On-the-job training and the possibility of retaining a job

Ø      Stipend during the course of training

 

Eligibility Requirements are as follows:

Ø      Must be unemployed citizen of St. Lucia.

Ø      Must be between the 16 - 40 years

Ø      Must have obtained obtained FOUR CXC passes OR LESS
