Monday, May 3, 2010 The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has designed a differentiated experience for the two Gaiety on Rodney Bay Jazz nights this Wednesday and Thursday.

Consistent with the Legendary Vibes theme marking 19 years of Saint Lucia, Gaiety on Rodney Bay is a strictly straight ahead Jazz venue with a twist. Red carpet service, corporate escort, special parking and a complimentary drink comes with every ticket. The option of a full service premium corporate group package that includes a gourmet hors d’oeuvres menu accords the corporate segment an experience worth sharing with their own professional constituents.

Wednesday night the luxury dining element will fuse with the music of Saint Lucia School of Music Presenting Black Antz, the young British star Laura Izibor, and headliner Earl Klugh who this year makes his third showing at Saint Lucia Jazz. Klugh’s 35 album career spans three decades and boasts 12 Grammy nominations, 23 Top Ten charting albums, 5 No. 1 Billboard records and 30 million plus in album and CD sales record.

Tourist Board Director Louis Lewis says that the Board considered the fact that the best deals are negotiated within a certain atmosphere. The task was to inject the right mix of ambient accents.

“We all have different tastes, and the array of performances at Gaiety and Pigeon Island will highlight the diversity of Saint Lucia Jazz. We believe the successful staging of the event; can be afforded with the effective management and presentation of each venue in its unique way,” he said.

On Thursday night the lineup will change but the overall experience will remain. On the bill is TroiZem (3M), a collaboration featuring St. Lucians – guitarist Monty Maxwell, pannist Allison Marquis and the 5-time music award winner Harvey Millar. The evening’s headliner is pioneer and undisputed master violinist [jazz and rock] Jean-Luc Ponty, whose body of work includes 12 albums and millions in record sales to Billboard acclaim.
