Wednesday March 3, 2010 – The Taiwanese government has afforded journalists and professionals from the print and broadcast media around the world, an opportunity to develop their skills at a thirteen-day workshop in Taiwan.
The media development workshop which begins today, March 4, will seek to introduce the participants to Taiwan’s media industries.
The workshop will include an overview of how the media sector has enhanced Taiwan’s social and economic development.
Participants are expected to discuss the role of the media in disseminating information.
The participants will also visit related government institutions and outstanding media enterprises with a special emphasis on broadcasting.
Claudia Monlouis from the Government Information Service (GIS), travelled to Taiwan to participate in the workshop and will provide the citizenry with an update on the trip in a subsequent broadcast.
The media development workshop ends in Taipei, on March 16. |
