Thursday, February 4, 2010 – The Division of Human Services and Family Affairs, believes that the directory of social services and allied agencies, will serve as an important tool to link all citizens with the appropriate social services when needed.
Director of human services, Elizabeth Lewis, says the recently launched “Where to Go for Help” directory, will also provide human services professionals with a listing of available official community, social and government services, and allied regional and international agencies.
“The directory is intended to be a useful tool in referral management for human services practitioners and in building other professional relationships. The directory is also expected to improve networking among agencies and allow practitioners to be more proactive in working with their clients,” Lewis said.
The social services directory is a culmination of a project initiated by the Saint Lucia Association of Social Workers in 1998. |
