Wednesday, February 3, 2010 The National Community Foundation (NCF), has been the recipient of a timely donation compliments of a Canada-based organization, Run-4-the Bus.

Director of the National Community Foundation, Juliana Alfred, says through the partnership with Run-4-the-Bus, her organization has been able to cater to the needs of more under-privileged students across the island.

“The support you have provided to us enables students who are unable to go to school to be able to do just that. We provide them with transportation assistance; we provide them with allowances and ensure that they have meals to go to school. We want to ensure that you know that the hard work you are doing, in terms of making this contribution, goes towards making life better for disadvantaged children in Saint Lucia.”

The donation of school materials was made during the 4th Annual Cruise-to-Run activity by co-chair of Run-4-the-Bus, Jennifer Johnson.
