Friday, November 19, 2010 –  All schools will no longer be reopening today Monday November 22, as was previously announced.

The Ministry of education and culture following a meeting with the national Principals Association on Friday November 19, has taken several policy decisions regarding the resumption of classes at schools around the island.

The ministry is advising parents of form 5 students that these students must report to school from Monday November 22 at 8 a.m.; only form 5 students will be allowed on the school compound for security reasons.

Principals, teachers and support staff of all secondary schools must report to school on November 22.

Mindful of the prevailing situation in the country the Ministry of Education and Culture is urging form five students, principals, teachers and support staff to exercise caution when proceeding to school.

The ministry announced that full classes for both primary and secondary schools will resume on November 23.
