Thursday October 29, 2009 –  Condor Boeing 767 aircraft will take off from Frankfurt, Germany for a nine hour flight into Vieux-Fort, Saint Lucia on Sunday November 1st, 2009.

The Saint Lucia Tourist Board sees the re-introduction of Condor’s direct weekly service into Saint Lucia as a welcome boost to the island’s tourism sector particularly in light of the soft arrivals recorded this summer. It is anticipated that winter arrivals from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which all form part of the Condor route, will augment arrivals from that part of the region.

Condor first flew into Saint Lucia on November 6, 2002. After a seven year hiatus, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board is excited about the resumption of Condor out of Germany.

A welcome ceremony is planned when the flight arrives at the  Hewanorra International Airport on Sunday November 1, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
