Friday, November 27, 2009 – Young people will be the focus of this year’s
Caribbean Media Exchange meeting (CMEx), which will be held in Saint Lucia from
the 3rd to the 7th of December.
In a press statement, CMEx organisers noted that getting the youth involved
early in tourism, has always been a priority for the drive to sustainable
tourism.
Teacher at the International School of Saint Lucia Tracy George, will lead a
group of hospitality and tourism students at next month's CMEx meeting, in
search of solutions to sustain Saint Lucia`s tourism industry.
She says she is very concerned about tourism's sustainability and looks forward
to the innovative and networking aspects of CMEx to enlighten both her and the
students of the school.
The delegates attending the meeting are also expected to examine how to "climate
proof" Caribbean tourism as well as build resilience into a recessionary
environment
This year's Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) will be held under the theme
