Saint Lucia continues to prepare for influenza

Thursday, June 4, 2009 – The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Family Affairs, National Mobilisation and Gender Relations in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization conducted a Train the Trainers Workshop on Health Services Preparedness for Pandemic Influenza at the Bay Gardens Conference Room from June 3-4 2009.
The aim of the workshop was to train national teams at country level. These national teams in turn, will train teams at facilities such as hospitals and health care centres, throughout the country. The national training program is based on an action plan agreed at the Train the Trainers workshop held in Miami on 15-18 September 2008. |
