Celebrity Cruise Lines makes donation towards donation St. Jude Hospital reconstruction

Tuesday, December 29, 2009 – Efforts toward the re-establishment of the St. Jude Hospital continue to intensify as international businesses and organisations continue to pledge assistance to the St. Jude Hospital rehabilitation project.
This past Monday, the Government and People of Saint Lucia were proud recipients of medical equipment valued at over US$28,000.00 from the officials of Celebrity Cruise Lines.
Minister for Health and Wellness, Honourable Keith Mondesir in expressing thanks said: “With the ownership of the modern medical equipment, especially the cardiac machines, Saint Lucia is well on its way to receive and rehabilitate patients in critical need. This indeed augurs well for the island as the government endeavours to place Saint Lucia among the best best countries for medical healthcare and wellness in the region.”
The Ministry of Health and Wellness and Celebrity Cruise Lines will work together in the new year to discuss and strategize on the cruise line’s continued support initiatives towards the successful and timely reconstruction of the St. Jude Hospital. |
