Thursday April 30, 2009 - As the World Health Organisation changed the Phase from 4 to 5 the Director of NEMO is encouraging business houses to activate their Business Continuity Plan.
Dr. Chang of the WHO pointed out at the Geneva Press Conference of 29 April that "This change to a higher phase of alert is a signal to .... the business community that certain actions should now be undertaken with increased urgency, and at an accelerated pace."
Over the past eight years the NEMO Secretariat has conducted numerous meetings and work shops with many business houses on the topic of Business Continuity Planning. "Now we will see the fruits of all this labour." Ms French says. |
