Ecumenical service to celebrate International Day for Older Persons

Tuesday,  September 30, 2008 –  On Wednesday October 1^st  2008 the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Family Affairs, National Mobilization, Human Services and Gender Relations in collaboration with Help Age National Council of and for Older Persons will be celebrating the 18th United Nations International Day for Older Persons. The theme chosen for this year is “Rights of Older Persons.”

The day will be celebrated with an Ecumenical Service at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at 9: 30a.m to be followed by a reception at the Castries City Hall. Several other activities have also been planned during the month to celebrate the lives of the older persons in our community.
