Friday, October 31, 2008 – Food and Nutrition students have again upheld the pride and reputation of Saint Lucia as a top contender in the Annual Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute’s Food and Nutrition Quiz Competition.

“The students did very well. One of the team of four became the Individual Champion of the entire Caribbean out of 64 other participants. The student, Tyla Peterson, came first and another Vieux Fort student Vera Antoine came second,” she said.
She said Saint Lucia was narrowly defeated by the Bahamas on their way to the finals. Judges meantime were located in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, Belize and Antigua both qualified for the finals which will be held in St. Kilts and Nevis on the 24th of November.
Individual champion Tyla Peterson and her coach will also make the trip to the finals and attend the grand award ceremony also slated for St. Kitts. |
