Labour ministry congratulates Civil Service Association on observance of CSA week 2008

Friday, November 28, 2008 – The Ministry of Labour, Information and Broadcasting would like to congratulate the St. Lucia Civil Service Association on its observance of C.S.A Week 2008. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Miss Thecla Augustin says in these trying times of economic difficulty it is prudent that trade unions engage in introspection as well as strategic planning to encourage its membership to respond adequately.
It is vital that she says, that all workers understand and appreciate the current global economic climate so as to contribute meaningfully to the survival of their enterprises. Hence the Ministry is pleased that C.S.A always recognizes the need for the education and enlightenment of its members. The Ministry pledges its continued support to the activities of the union for the improvement of its members and to help ensure a stable industrial relations climate. |
