Tuesday, January 8, 2008 – Staff of the Ministry of Labour, Information and Broadcasting have been encouraged to pull their resources together as the ministry launches into a new program year.
At the ministry's 2007 awards ceremony on December 29th, Labour, Information and Broadcasting Minister, Hon. Edmund Estaphane said he is confident that through team effort, the staff can take the ministry to a higher level of efficiency.
“The year has been very interesting and exciting. Naturally the ministry has its challenges, particularly as we labour to find a code that is balanced, and flexible. Let me take this opportunity to wish all staff members and others gathered a happy, healthy and productive new year,” he said.
Staff were awarded in several categories including most improved employee, supervisor of the year, and employee of the year.
Meanwhile Mr. Estaphane expressed thanks to the staff of his ministry for the manner in which they have embraced him, since taking up his new post in September. Mr. Estaphane previously had oversight for the Ministry of Health. |
