German Ambassador to Saint Lucia shares a light moment with H.E. the Governor General

Friday,  April 18, 2008 –  His Excellency Dr. Ernst Martens, newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to St. Lucia has officially presented his credentials to the Governor General of St. Lucia Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy.

 

At the ceremony held at Government House, Her Excellency welcomed the Ambassador to St. Lucia,  and expressed best wishes to the  President and the people of Germany. 

 

Ambassador Martens last held the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He has also held several diplomatic roles in other parts of the world.

 

His Excellency expressed his enthusiasm for the task ahead: “I am very much looking forward to my work as German Ambassador in St. Lucia. The work which I intend to carry out in a way so as to further strengthen and intensify the already very close relations that have always existed between our two countries.”

 

Dr. Martens replaces His Excellency Helmut Ohlraun as German Ambassador to St. Lucia.
