Wednesday, May 25, 2005 – Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Honourable Dr Kenny Anthony has been invited to participate in the launching of the Sapphire Cove Resort Project in Ireland.

Earlier this month the prime minister presided over the sod turning ceremony for the hotel project to be constructed in Laborie. The five-star resort is being constructed by Premiere Resorts to the tune of US$380 million dollars.

Dr Anthony has described the project as a great and extraordinary partnership, indicating that Saint Lucia can now confirm that the island possesses a high end quality tourism product.

Premiere Resorts the Irish Corporation doing the Sapphire Cove Resort Project in Laborie will be hosting the Prime Minister in Ireland. Dr Anthony has also been invited to speak with investors in Ireland about opportunities for investing in Saint Lucia.

Prime Minister Anthony will leave the island on Sunday May 28th and will return on June 3rd.
