Thursday, May 13, 2004 – Prime Minister, Dr. Kenny D. Anthony will, later
this month, commence a weekly radio address to the nation. The address entitled
“Conversations with the Nation” will be of five minutes duration and is
scheduled for broadcast on all radio stations.
The address will highlight national programmes; articulate the government’s
vision for the country; and present Dr. Anthony’s reflections on solutions for
the challenges facing St. Lucia.
The Prime Minister will also respond to questions and concerns from the public,
which can be sent via the email address
yourPM@candw.lc. One address which will be aired on the last Monday of
every month will focus directly on issues affecting young people.
According to the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. Earl Bousquet this
initiative is part of Government’s promise to promote and protect the virtues of
public accountability, openness and communication in government.
The weekly addresses are scheduled to commence on May 31st 2004.
