Tuesday, February 24, 2004 - In recognition of the 25th Anniversary
Independence of St. Lucia and its own 25th Anniversary, the National Insurance
Corporation (NIC) has made a gift to the nation in the area of health care.
The gift involves a fully equipped surgical suite at Victoria Hospital to be
commissioned by the middle of this year. The facilities to be provided:
• Two (2) operating theatres;
• One (1) three (3) bed recovery room;
• Six (6) bed Intensive cart unit;
• CSSD;
• Nurses and Doctors Lounge;
• Domestic and Orderly Change Room;
• Nurse Manager’s Office;
• Endoscopy Room;
• Quiet Room;
• Medial Gas System;
• Vacuum Plant; and
• Air Conditioning System;
