Friday, June 13, 2003 – A number of Saint Lucians have been honoured for their outstanding contribution to the overall development of Saint Lucia. The Awards forms part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2003.

Dr. Charles Owen Roundel King has been bestowed with the Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George C.M.G. for his service to health. Mr. Graig Bernard has been honoured to be an Ordinary Officer of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire O.B.E. for service to industry.

Mr. William Patrick Brown, Mr. Guy Ellis, Mr. Michael Duboulay and Mrs. Marie Marcelle Drysdale have all been awarded Ordinary Members of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire M.B.E. in the fields of Engineering; Journalism; business, politics and community development; and health and nursing respectively.

The British Empire Medal (Civil Division) B.E.M. has been awarded to Kim Keiron Louis, Leslie Alexander Neale, Mrs. Laura Collymore and James Tennyson Prudent all for community service.
