NEMO to receive warehouses

February 3, 2003 -- The OECS Disaster Project Emergency Recovery and Disaster Management Project brought the National Emergency Management Office and its District Committees closer to their goal of a network of warehouses.

The central tenders board opened bids, on Thursday last week, on warehouses to be built for eight District Committees.

Under this project NEMO shall also receive a central warehouse facility. The remaining nine committees to be similarly equipped shall be facilitated in a separate phase of the project.

This is yet another component of the Loan taken by the Government of Saint Lucia from the World Bank.
