Monday, August 05, 2002 – Former Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Honourable Ignatius Jean was on Monday August 5th, 2002, sworn in by Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy as the new minister responsible for Physical Development, Housing and Environment.

Honourable Ignatius Jean was promoted to the status of Minister by the Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony following former Minister Walter Francois’ resignation. The swearing in ceremony took place at the official residence of the Governor General at Morne Fortune.
