St. Lucia Wins Awards in Reader's Choice Poll

Castries, Wednesday, May 22, 2001 - Saint Lucia has received yet another award from the region. The Pitons have been voted the Best Scenic View in all of the Caribbean, by Caribbean Travel & Life magazine. The award was determined from the publication's first ever Best of the Caribbean Reader Awards. Described as "a spectacular view from any angle," the Pitons were recognized as having a special beauty by readers of the magazine.

Anse Chastanet Hotel also picked up 2 awards for Most Romantic Hotel and runner-up for Best Small Hotel.

Other notable mentions were Ladera Resort as runner-up in the Most Romantic Hotel category, as well as Jalousie Hilton Resort and Spa and Le Sport, which were both listed as favourites in the Best Spa Resort category.

The Caribbean Travel & Life Reader's Choice Poll is designed to give readers of the magazine a chance to acknowledge and vote on the people and places that make the Caribbean their favourite vacation destination. Results of the poll appear in the February 2001 issue of Caribbean Travel & Life.
