The Victoria Hospital received one thousand bed sheets,
Thursday. The sheets were donated
by Unika Theodule a St. Lucian residing in St. Thomas for the past thirty-one
years. Theodule says she
worked as a hotel housekeeper, but then the business folded and the hotel linen
given away. “They
said everybody can have the amount of sheets they want.
They had just ordered 1000 sheets, so I thought about St. Lucia and I
decided to pick up those sheets and bring them down in order to donate them to
The Victoria Hospital,” Theodule said. Deputy
Permanent Secretary for The Ministry of Health, Human Services, Family Affairs
and Gender Relations, John Husbands receiving the sheets on behalf of the
Hospital expressed appreciation for the gift.
“I am sure that the house keeping staff at The Victoria Hospital will
make good use of these bed sheets in an effort to continue delivery of quality
care to the clients and patients of Victoria Hospital,” Husband said. -end- |
