Thursday, February 08, 2001 – Word from the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Home Affairs and Labour is that, come March 2001, the island’s Police Force will have a new man at the helm.

In the meantime the present Commissioner of Police, Mr. Francis Nelson, will continue in office until he proceeds on pre-retirement leave, effective February 28th, 2001.

The Ministry says suitable persons who have applied for the post of Commissioner will be interviewed on the 15th and 16th of February, 2001.
