LUCELEC Report To Be Released To Public Next Week

Emmanuel Friday, January 12, 2001 - The much talked about and anticipated report commissioned by government into the operations of the island’s lone power company - the St. Lucia Electricity Services Ltd. (LUCELEC) - is to be officially made public come Tuesday, January 16, 2001. Public
Utilities Minister Senator Calixte George will review and discuss the contents
of the report at a press conference, scheduled for10 a.m. at the studios of the
Government Information Services. The commission was required to look into issues like the cost of electricity paid by consumers, the fuel surcharge, the estimated billing system and customer relations. |
