Entrepot Community Centre Almost Ready |
November
6, 2001 - Residents of Entrepot will soon have the use of a brand new
human resource development centre, a community investment of more than $1
million through a partnership involving the Ministry of Community Development
and the Marchand Women’s League. An
official delegation, led by the Parliamentary Representative for Castries East,
Hon. Philip J. Pierre along with Minister for Community Development, Hon. Damian
Greaves and Parliamentary Secretary, Hon. Jon Odlum, recently toured the
soon-to-be-open centre. It will have a seating capacity for 150 persons and will
be equipped with a library, change room, day
care centre, among other facilities. The project is the brainchild of the Marchand Women’s League which single-handedly raised almost $120,000 to get it off the ground. Both Mr. Pierre and Mr. Greaves lauded the Marchand Women’s League for their effort. |
