According to Director of the Child Development and Guidance Centre Dr. Bridget
Shuling it was three weeks of hard work, a lot of patience, a lot of persistence
and a lot of fun. “All
children progressed in some way or another in their ability to communicate, in
their ability to be more independent and their ability to move more
independently,” Dr. Shuling explained.
Special Education Officer in the Ministry of
Education Cynthia Weeks believes such efforts towards the development of
children with special disabilities are significant and expressed the ministry’s
total support for the camp.
The
camp had as it’s theme “Moving Towards an Independent Future.
