British Trade Mission to Visit St. Lucia |

21, 2001 - A 21 member Trade Delegation from Britain will visit St. Lucia
from May 26 to 31 2001. The
mission is being organised by the Caribbean Trade Advisory Group (CARITAG) of
London and is co-sponsored by British Trade International, the trade development
and promotion agency of the British Government. The Mission will be led by Mr.
Charles Whitaker, Partner in charge of Agriculture & Overseas business
consultancy for Brown & Co. He will be accompanied by the Director of
CARITAG, Ms. Sue Monteath and Mr. Hadford Howell head of the commercial section
at the British High Commission in Barbados. The
nineteen companies participating in the mission will promote a wide range of
products and services. These will include: aerosol and powder insecticides; a
wide range of food, drink, household and toiletries products; clothing; cabling
products; computer related products; engineering, technical sales and digital
technical support for the broadcast industry; web-site design; special purpose
and ex military vehicles; plant equipment for the construction industry; artists
supplies and artwork; security systems; personal safety products; hotel
toiletries and amenities; herbal teas; garden sprinklers; training services and
recruitment; Consultancy services will also be offered in agriculture, rural
property management and trade facilitation. During
the visit representatives of the mission will hold discussions with Government
and local business officials. Together with the British High Commission in Castries, the Mission will be hosting a reception at the Auberge Seraphine between 3pm and 6pm on Monday 28 May. Members of the St. Lucia business community are very welcome to attend the reception and meet the delegation. |
