Stable Boyz Receive Aid from Julian's |
Contact: Tesa St. Ange Thursday, August 31, 2000 – The Stable Boyz, a football club from Vieux-fort, has received assistance from Julian’s Supermarket in preparation for the upcoming first division football competition. This past Wednesday, Prime Minster and Parliamentary Representative for Vieux-Fort South, Hon. Dr. Kenny Anthony, received the donation of equipment on behalf of the club, from Julian’s Supermarket Marketing Manager, Denise Ernest. The Stable Boyz Football club was formed in 1997, and since then they have placed second in the 1998 division competition and first in the 1999 competition. The thirty-member club, coached under David Taylor, has been well supported by Dr. Anthony who has expressed confidence in their performance this season. Coach Taylor was lauded by Dr. Anthony for his instrumental role in the team’s development. According to the parliamentary representative, Taylor’s solid management, selfless dedication and inspiration were driving forces behind the team’s maturity over the year. According to Miss Ernest, Julian’s Supermarket believes in rewarding the community and has pledged its continued support for the Stable Boyz football club. |
