Friday, November 17, 2000 - Residents of the Castries Northwest constituency are being invited to a broad based meeting with their Parliamentary Representative Honourable Michael Gaspard. Mr. Gaspard says that this meeting is important, as it will provide an avenue through which residents can participate in the planning of programmes and projects of interest to their respective communities. The Castries North west Constituency refers to the communities of Union, Summersdale, Sunny Acres, Active Hill, Morne Du Don, City Gate and Carrelie.

The upcoming meeting is actually the second phase of a dialogue process for Mr. Gaspard and his constituents. It started with a meeting held for the Babonneau community in September where Mr. Gaspard invited representatives from all government ministries and other agencies to give an account of their respective works in the communities. "I believe the residents of those areas who live in the specific areas, communities know best what their needs are and so I’m just merely giving them an opportunity to discuss with me and the persons of the various ministries, the various agencies what their needs are. And so I’ve decided to invite those officers from the various agencies to listen to the people, come and hear what their needs are so that we can begin to dialogue and create a process that will begin to inform the budget preparation for the constituency," said Gaspard.

The Castries North West constituency meeting is slated for Monday 27th November, at the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School Auditorium.
