NIPRO’s Chief Executive Officer Matthew Sargusingh says negotiations have been ongoing and application forms circulated to the business community and private individuals, for use of the multi-storey car park. The two-part facility will also house what is being called the Professional Business Centre and forms the latest addition to the Castries Waterfront. According to Mr. Sargusingh, "We are getting further inquires and some of them have actually paid in monthly rentals for the various spots. We’re still hoping that this activity will pick up and by the time we open, a lot more people would be interested and would have committed themselves in renting the various available lots."
"Castries is growing. St. Lucia is growing and more people are desirous of owning vehicles. While we envisage a small impact due to the shifting of these administrative buildings, we think however that it’s going to be reversed in a very short time frame," said Sargusingh. Request for space at the Professional Business Centre has also been overwhelming, with many of the prospective tenants expected to make their own internal adjustments. |
