Contact: Janelle Charles October 22, 1999 - The Department of Gender Relations is currently engaged in a sensitization programme to help minimize the incidents of Gender based violence. The project "combating gender based violence" was developed in response to the increasing incidence of abuse in St. Lucia and the need to educate and sensitize the public on the negative impact of gender based on individuals and national development.
