June 17, 1998 - Mr. Keith Weeks (SLPM), has been elected Chairperson of the National Council of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.  Mr. Weekes is currently Chairman of the Public Service and Teaching Service Commissions.  He is a former primary and secondary school principal and has had a long relationship with young people.  He is also associated with a number of voluntary, cultural and sporting organizations, including the Lions Club of Castries of which he is a past president and the St. John's Council of St. Lucia.
