Augustin Louis is the Training Officer at the National Insurance scheme says that the exercise has several purposes: upgrade the skills of social security employees, familiarize them with their counterparts, share experiences and to find solutions to common problems. Louis - "We believe that when these officers com back they will be much more effective and efficient in their job, because they will be exposed to some knowledge which will allow them to understand more concisely what is happening in their work place and in the field of social security." The course will cover several topics such as the legal basis of social security, investment of social security funds, changing technology and its impact on social security and the use of actuarial reports and the information gathered from those reports to guide the operations of social security programmes. |
