Ozone Work Shop

June 4, 1998 - A regional work shop on Control and Monitoring of Ozone Depleting Substances Consumption, is scheduled for June 4-6, 1998 at the Rex St. Lucian Hotel. The activity is co-hosted by The Government of St. Lucia, The United Nations Environmental Programme and The Multilateral Fund Secretariat.

The workshop comes against the background that parties of the Montreal Protocol, have undertaken to phase out the use of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS), in a global effort to protect the earth’s Ozone layer.

Over the years St. Lucia has led efforts in establishing a network of ODS officers for the English speaking Caribbean.
