More Aid for Montserrat

August 21, 1998 - More assistance is still coming in for the people of Montserrat, held under siege by the Soufriere Volcano. The latest contribution to the Montserrat Relief Fund was made Thursday during a meeting of Disaster Preparedness Committees.

"We as a disaster committee decided to make small contributions on our own and also ask members of the community to make some small contributions towards the Montserrat Relief Fund. On behalf of my committee I will present the sum of $950 towards that fund." - Ivan Gaspard, Chairman of the Dennery Disaster Preparedness Committee
