Malgretoute Audit |
Contact: John Emmanuel June 19, 1998 - The Ministry of Health, Human Services, Family Affairs and Gender Relations has scheduled a one-day retreat to study an audit report on the Malgretoute Senior Citizen home located in Soufriere. Saturday's meeting will discuss the findings of a comprehensive audit of the institution's operations, which was conducted by the firm Synthesis and Associates at the request of the Ministry. Top officials are expected to meet with Parliamentary Representative for Soufriere, the Hon. Dr. Walter Francois, Community Development Minister the Hon. Damian Greaves and the home's Management Board, to review the main issues, all related to the actual management, financing and human resource development at the institution. The retreat is one way through which broad consultation on the future development of the home and indeed the life of its occupants can be enhanced. Over twenty persons are expected to participate. Meanwhile, a a paved walkway bordering the home and nearby beach which was constructed as part of a voluntary initiative of the Peace Corps, is also expected to be commissioned on Saturday. |
