Chinese Acrobats Visit

September 3, 1998 - The St. Lucian public is soon to get a taste of the Chinese culture during a one-week visit of an acrobatic art troupe.  The group arrived on the island on Tuesday.

Elder Mitchelle of the Ministry of Community Development says that the purpose of the visit is to promote cultural exchanges between St. Lucia and the Peoples Republic of China, depend mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of both countries.

The troupe will be putting on three performances. The first will be held in Soufriere later today. Vieux-Fort will be the venue for the second performance scheduled for September 4 and the final performance will be held in Castries September 5.
