Big Fisheries Complex for the EC

June 16, 1998 - Plans are being finalized for the construction here of the most modern Fisheries Complex in the Eastern Caribbean.

So says Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Kenny Anthony, just back from Japan, where he signed an exchange of notes with government officials there.

The exchange makes possible the financing of the second phase of the Fisheries Complex in Vieux Fort.

Prime Minister Anthony says the Government of Japan will also conduct a full scale feasibility study, aimed at transforming the Cul de Sac harbor into a new commercial one for the area.

Meantime the Government of Japan is also expected to make a donation of vehicles to St. Lucia in coming weeks.
