Tuesday, February 24, 2004 – Prime Minister, Dr. Kenny D. Anthony today,
began meeting with government agencies to hear and consider their budgetary
proposals for the 2004/2005 fiscal year.
This year, the budgetary process, which started immediately after the island’s
25th Independence Anniversary, came earlier than usual.
The process generally involves scrutiny of the agencies’ programme of
expenditure for recurrent and capital projects for the ensuing fiscal year
commencing April 1, 2004 and ending on March 31, 2005.
