Thursday, May 10, 2012 – The newly sworn in Dennery North District Council has indicated that the first order of business will be to commence dialogue with the District Cemetery Committee as well as to hold discussion towards restoring the integrity of the Thamazo Market.

Chairperson of the nine member council Felix Forde says the entity will operate in an accountable and transparent manner.   “The task ahead of us is great and challenging but not impossible. The Dennery North Constituency Council has a bold vision borne out of deep commitment to this community to dialogue with members to understand their felt needs.”

Director of Local Government Lucian Isidore told the nine new councillors that their portfolio of responsibilities has broadened to providing new services to the community  that would curtail the need to  travel to Castries for example, or to form  alliances  with  existing community organizations that also work towards the improvement and development of the community.
