Tuesday March 06, 2012 - Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony leaves the island today (March 6, 2012) to attend the 23rd Inter-sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government taking place in Suriname.

 

The Heads will consider, among other things, the approval of CARICOM's Implementation Plan for the Regional Framework for Achieving Development Resilient to Climate Change.

 

Prime Minister Anthony will lead Saint Lucia’s delegation which comprises  Honourable Alva Baptiste, Minister for External Affairs;  Honourable Dr. Vaughan Lewis, Special Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Ambassador June Soomer, Ambassador to CARICOM.

 

Prime Minister Anthony is expected to return to Saint Lucia on Saturday 10th March, 2012.

 

Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Philip J. Pierre will carry out the duties of Prime Minister in his absence.
